I was born in Hollywood, which has always been fun to say, and who knows, maybe it has lent its magic to my involvement with Theater. In any case, it has been suggested that there is a bit of the dramatic in my ways. I’ll take that as a compliment... I think.

We live in the Wine Country of Sonoma County, fifty miles north of San Francisco. (Go to “Painting” for more like this Harvest.)

were born in Healdsburg, California over 45 years ago and today we work together in our family business. (Go to “Insurance” for more info) Amongst them, I have over six grandchildren.

Before insurance, I was Associate Director of United Way for North Bay in Santa Rosa, California. Before that I was a housewife, and before that, I was an awesome prune-picker in the orchards of Healdsburg. As our politicians are proud to say, my roots are deep in middle-class America.

I live with architect and playwright, Harry Reid. We have been married 28 years. We have produced many of Harry’s plays, some of which I have directed... an adrenaline rush and careful duo-tightrope walk. We play golf, travel, and enjoy our new home.

We attended Sonoma State University and in 1999 and “walked together” for degrees. Harry added a Masters in Anthropology and Languages to his MIT BA degree and study with Frank Lloyd Wright, while I picked up two BA’s in History and Art History.

I began directing theater in 1983 and have enjoyed working with different theater groups in Marin and Sonoma Counties, California. (visit Theater for more info)

One of my favorites is gardening. We have been in our new home for a year and it has a large area for yard, but nothing like the acre we moved from, which we designed with various types of garden scapes like the picture at right. It is great exercise and therapeutic.

Painting is a passion which I appreciate everyday. Anyone can do it, if you only have the desire. I know, because I’m not a good drawer and didn’t paint anything until I was forty-three. Now, it’s part of who I am.

It was great fun!

It was a family affair, along with seventy friends who attended. We munched good food, listened to wonderful jazz, and I had a ball!

*Family, friends, and other such
human-being types, are what
matters, all else is good on top of best.

*Live ‘til you tilt!
We only go around once—maybe.
